This is an area where many bus routes either succeed or fail. Visitation is probably one of the most important concerns for the bus ministry. It's in visitation that the Bus Captain and workers have the chance to get to know the children and the parents. To gain an understanding of the needs within each household, whether spiritual or material.

The Route should be visited once a week, usually on a Saturday. This will allow you the benefit of getting the kids excited about the next day and coming to church, as well as knowing which ones are not going to be coming, due to vacations, or visiting relatives.

In knowing who is coming and who is not will give you a better idea on how to plan your schedule (so you arrive back to church on time). Saturday visitation also allows you the chance for deeper interactions with the kids, and allows you to meet their friends. This will and can help you in growing your route, as friends will usually go with another friend.

Saturday visitation also gives you the opportunity to meet the parents and to minister to their needs as well. A successful route will always be the one in which all the workers are involved in Saturday visitation.
