"Children are a Heritage, saith the Lord"

Over the past twenty years being involved in the outreach ministries for children the Lord has allowed me to see many aspects of families as well as the lives of children. I wish I could say things are getting better. It is sad and discouraging at times to say the least, when you hear the stories and see daily news that imprints images of a world gone to hell. I think of the times when you deal with families that are breaking up and how it affects the kids, who many times are lost in the shuffle or at best try to have understanding feelings for both parents whom they love and yet are forced to live with one and visit another.

I think of the kids who's parents abandon them because of the life of selfishness and the burden of having a responsibility to deal with. I think of the kids whom on a daily basis see the absolute corruption of our society and even are expose to the cruelty of death played out on the very streets they play on.

And those who are prey for those who would pervert and defile the very innocent nature of the child.
