"Building the Route"
If the event is not bathed in prayer and for the right reason, it will usually not succeed in its goal.
Does that mean that all events will give an increase of numbers in riders, no, there is more to the measurement than that, all things are to be looked at on the spiritual level.
The Lord allowed me to be a Captain of a route, this route was faltering and in all honesty was soon to be closed down. Rider-ship was averaging only 11 people per week.
Oh, I had all kinds of plans, and I really felt this was the route the Lord wanted me to have, but I of course had lessons to learn as well about the route was the Lords.
Over the course of three years, with many failures and many joys. The Lord allowed our route to grow, running two busses in our area of responsibility. We were averaging 60 to 80 people per week. With some events bringing in 100.
I can truthfully say, I never became prideful, I was proud that our bus was doing well but knew it was the Lord that was giving the increase. After all we were just doing what we were suppose to be doing.
